Margaritas

Margaritas

There are many stories about the origin of the Margarita and where it was first discovered, but all accounts agree it was born in Mexico, the home of Tequila. One account says Margarita Sames frequently ordered Cointreau, Gold Tequila and Lime Juice in Acapulco at the Flamingo Hotel in 1948, thereby inventing a drink to be named after her. Others say the Margarita was invented when a bartender mixed up some tequila, triple sec and sweet & sour in Puebla, Mexico at the Garcia Crespo Hotel and then named the drink after his girlfriend. Some accounts claim Taxco, Mexico was the first place to serve the Margarita. Still others say it was created at the Caliente Race Track right next door to us in Tijuana in the late 1930’s. Well, wherever the Margarita came from, we think we serve the best! Try one and you be the judge!

Our Specialty Margaritas are all LARGE, Handmade & served on the rocks unless specified.
